The wait for the much-anticipated sequel Chandramukhi 2 is finally over. Co-starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghav Lawrence, the makers of the movie released its trailer on Sunday, September 3. It is safe to say that the fans are over the moon as they anticipate the release of the film's upcoming Tamil release on September 15. A sequel to Chandramukhi (2004), the horror comedy boasts of stellar visuals and hilarious dialogues.
Directed by P Vasu, the trailer showcases Kangana as the ever-beautiful Chandramukhi, a dancer, who now haunts a villa and its residences. While the makers kept her glimpses to a minimum in the trailer, the actress stands out with her portrayal of a seductive dancer in the court of King Vettiyan Raja. On the other hand, the leading hero, Lawrence is seen in a full action-packed avatar as he beats up the bad guys in the present as well as the past scenes. Veteran actor Vadivelu ties the entire trailer together, as he essays the role of Murugesan. A helper with his comic timings will surely bring a huge amount of comedic quotient in the upcoming supernatural thriller, which will be releasing on September 15 in many regional languages. For the unversed, Chandramukhi (2004) was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was also remade in Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and in Bollywood as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Knowing that the first part of the franchise was very-well received by the audiences, it will be interesting to see how the audiences love the upcoming movie.
Apart from Chandramukhi 2, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Emergency. Not only is the movie her first solo directorial, but she will also be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Apart from that, She has projects like Tejas and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in her pipeline.
